"I give my jewelry plenty of texture and detail to captivate the wearer and draw in those who see it."
After years of working in a contemporary jewelry store in the small college town of Athens, Georgia, Louise Norrell decided to start her own business. Having gained the necessary experience of learning how a piece should lay and best flatter the wearer, Norrell knew that she was ready to develop, design and market her own hand-crafted work.
Often using molds that she has created, Norrell die forms most of her pieces and adds texture with chasing techniques or a hammer. She prefers to work in white or yellow gold and sterling silver, combining the metals in compelling and detailed designs. |
I work in 18k gold, platinum and sterling silver. Many pieces include semi-precious stones or freshwater pearls. This jewelry is the natural result of observing for years what people like to wear, and becoming comfortable with my tools and materials.
It is as much pleasure for me to create this jewelry as it will be for you to wear or give. |
